about me
My name is Isabel Ginsberg. I am a Boston-based actor, singer and digital creator available for Film, TV, Theatre, Musical Theatre, and Commercial work.
I am a Boston-based actor (also a Gryffindor, ENFP, Pisces, Jewish Lesbian and frequent motion-sickness-haver) living on the border of Brookline and Brighton. I received my BFA in Musical Theatre and minor in Health Sciences from Emerson College. I caught the performing bug around age 6 listening to cast albums on my family’s Panasonic 5 CD Changer Stereo System. Belting out show tunes while standing on the coffee table became my favorite pastime — click here to watch my rendition of “Popular” circa 2006.

Growing up, I was fortunate to act in roles like Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Maureen in Rent, Nurse in Romeo & Juliet, Maggie in A Chorus Line, and Sister James in Doubt: A Parable. I also got to study voice and acting with tremendous teachers, leading to my next step pursing theatre in Boston.

While at Emerson, I studied dance, Linklater voice, dialects, scene study, movement, stage combat, Sondheim, Shakespeare, and more. My favorite roles were Stepmother in Into The Woods, Natalie in Next to Normal, Sandra in Big Fish, Marmee in Little Women, and getting to manage social media marketing for student written work and a cappella.

I’ve spent my post-grad years forging connections in the New England theatre scene. My favorite experiences have been working with the Seacoast Repertory Theatre in NH, Fresh Ink and Theater UnCorked in downtown Boston, taking class with Shakespeare & Company, working on my first vertical short, and starting a food instagram with my girlfriend (Follow @isabelandhelenareating). Check out some of my work here.

I’ve come to love Boston more than I thought I would as a Philadelphian. My day job is working in cosmetics at Credo Beauty where I developed a passion for clean beauty products, industry, and sharing my favorite tips and tricks online. I can’t wait to continue my performance and creative journey when I move to New York later this summer.

I am always looking to be part of new projects. If you’re looking for a serious actor, a silly actor, a high soprano, someone to write the lyrics for your jingle, overhaul your skincare routine, or would just like to connect, click here!
